Overview

 

      Job Title: JIT Meat Cutter Supervisor

 

      We are looking to add an addtional position to our Meat Cutting Team!  This position with work directly with the production manager to fulfill and process fresh meat products ordered by Food Servicies of America.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and collaborate with Production Management team
  • Support the production and order fulfillment of fresh meat products ordered by FSA
  • Responsible for day to day supervision of department
  • Manage and facilitate daily schedules and work flow of team members
  • Responsible for the breaking down/re-setting of the department for the next business day
  • Facilitate and oversee the training of new associates
  • Select, trim, portion cut beef  according to customer specs; portion
  • Manually handle individual cuts and full boxes of meat

Qualifications

 

  • Able to stand 8 hours cutting a variety of meat products
  • Ability to lift product/boxes up to 80lbs
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack
  • Minimum 5 years experience in retail or wholesale meat cutting with excellent knife skills 
  • Prefer journeyman meat cutting skills
  • Willingness to comply with all company policies and standards
  • Dependable
  • Willingness to works in a manner that ensures your own safety and the safety of others
